So, uh, yeah. For those of you who don’t know, which is probably most of you, I don’t like to identify as male. I’m not sure if I’m ever going to transition, but I know that I would be much more comfortable in my own skin had I been born female. I’m lucky that, unlike some trans people, I’m kind of apathetic about the whole thing. I don’t mind if people refer to me as he or him, when they don’t know better. But yeah, for all intents and purposes, I’m a pre-HRT, gay trans woman and this is my coming out post for Oppo.

Congratulations on coming out! I know I wish I had come out about ten years earlier than I did. I hope you have lots of love and support from your friends and family along the way.
This has always been the most welcoming and accepting car forum. I’ve been to some pretty bad ones. I think I’ve had one loser burner here give me an anti-gay comment somewhere, and it was dealt with immediately by a mod. That’s in over ten years of being a part of this community.

The fact that Oppo doesn’t give so much as a kiss arse to who you are no matter who you are is exactly how a place in the real world should be. The fact that you humaned up to that idea right about here makes it a pretty special place all round. But I still don’t give a shit what you want to call yourself...Oppo is fine.

I haven’t been on Oppo long but one of the things I’ve liked most about it is how welcoming everyone seems to be. Glad to see it’s more than just appearances. And thanks for letting me know your pronouns.
Hope you’re enjoying Ireland! I was only in Ireland proper for a few days but I had a great time.
